How reviews are produced
Reviews are based on one or more of the following: hands-on product testing, service trials, venue visits, restaurant meals, ticket-holder attendance at performances or events, press-access attendance, or publicly available experiences. Where a reviewer attends an event or visits a venue as a member of the public, this is noted. Where access or product samples are provided by a third party — for example a brand, venue, organiser, promoter or agency — this is disclosed clearly.
Independence and editorial control
No provision of access, review tickets, hospitality, product samples or any other benefit guarantees positive coverage. TheUKDaily.uk retains full editorial control over all review content. Providers have no input into the final assessment, rating or publication decision. Our commercial relationships — including with advertisers, sponsored content partners and affiliate partners — are entirely separate from editorial review decisions. No payment, gift or incentive influences the outcome of a review.
Standard disclosure format
Every review includes a clear disclosure statement, typically placed at the beginning or end of the article. The standard wording is as follows:
Disclosure: This review is based on [product test/event visit/review ticket/venue visit/public booking]. Access or product samples were provided by [brand/venue/organiser/agency] where applicable. The provider had no control over the final editorial assessment.
Where a review uses affiliate links, this is disclosed separately under our advertising and affiliate disclosure policy. Sponsored or commercial content is clearly labelled in line with our sponsored content policy.
Transparency and corrections
If a review contains an error, readers are encouraged to contact our editorial team. Corrections are handled in accordance with our editorial policy and corrections policy.
