We set out to build a publication that treats the United Kingdom as a single, interconnected story — one where public policy, economic data, consumer trends and cultural life are understood together, not in isolation.
Our editorial philosophy
Under the direction of Editor-in-Chief Jonathan Ellery, TheUKDaily.uk operates on a straightforward principle: give readers the information they need to make sense of the country they live in, without spin, jargon or partisan framing. Our desk structure
The newsroom is organised around four core desks, each led by an experienced journalist. Rebecca Haines, Managing Editor, oversees daily planning and commissioning. Thomas Whitmore leads our Politics & Public Affairs coverage, tracking Parliament, government policy and public spending. Amelia Foster covers the economy, business, employment and household costs, linking macro trends to personal finance. Sophie Marlowe edits our Culture & Lifestyle section, where media, food, travel and consumer features are treated with the same seriousness as political reporting.
